me: um ok. well i was sitting in jorges room, we were going through records, and he played yesterdays new quintet. i had never heard anything like it. ever. blew me away. from there i moved to quasimoto, which was weird and took me a while to get used to, i was so into drum and bass at the time, and still attached to my alt. / heavy rock from highschool. but it grew on me, it was just FUN. and then he played blackalicious and blazing arrow just blew my fucking mind.

after we broke up i didnt really have anything to listen to and no idea where to look. then i threw in pharcyde at work one day and this kid brandon got all excited.

we started trading music, i was giving him d&b stuff and he was passing along hip hop. kos and mos were my first real loves, and from there i just absorbed as much as possible

and i keep doing it

me: i picked up untinted:sources for madlibs shades of blue on accident thinking it was the album, and found this whole new respect for the music, and where it comes from, what it is and the passion these artists have. it's rare in other genres i think, and just fell in love....

so there ya go.
